European Defence Week and French-Norwegian Defence Industries Forum 2026

In November 2026, Paris will become a key meeting point for the European defence industry. European Defence Week 2026 and the French-Norwegian Defence Industries Forum will bring together defence decision-makers, industrial partners, investors, institutions, military representatives and technology companies from across Europe. At the same time, EURONAVAL 2026 will bring leaders from the naval and maritime defence sector, further strengthening the city’s position as a hub for defence and security discussions throughout the week.

Norwegian companies are invited to take part in a targeted programme combining the focused access of the French-Norwegian Defence Industries Forum with the wider European reach of the European Defence Week 2026. Participants will meet potential customers and industrial partners, showcase their solutions and strengthen their position within the European defence ecosystem.

Europe is entering a new phase of defence cooperation, capability development and industrial investment. Across the continent, governments, armed forces, industry leaders and investors are working to strengthen Europe’s security, technological sovereignty and defence industrial base.

This momentum is reflected in Europe’s growing defence cooperation. In May 2026, Norway and France signed the Narvik Arrangement, strengthening cooperation in areas including defence industry, cybersecurity, maritime security, space and support to Ukraine. The agreement highlights the growing importance of closer industrial and technological cooperation across Europe. 

At the same time, European governments are increasing investment in defence capabilities and technologies. France alone has allocated EUR 57.1 billion to its 2026 defence mission, with major investments in armament programmes, drones, robotics, air defence, cyber and artificial intelligence.

Against this backdrop, the European Defence Week 2026 provides a unique platform for companies seeking to engage with the organisations and value chains shaping the future of European defence. Through the Norwegian delegation, participating companies can increase their visibility, explore new business opportunities and build relationships with potential customers, industrial partners and key stakeholders from across the defence ecosystem.

2 November 2026 (morning)

The French-Norwegian Defence Industries Forum brings together Norwegian and French stakeholders from industry, government, the armed forces, research, finance and innovation. The forum serves as a platform for dialogue, partnership building and industrial cooperation between two countries that are strengthening their defence and security collaboration.

The preliminary programme includes keynote presentations, panel discussions, roundtables, company pitches and targeted networking, followed by an invitation-only reception at the Residence of the Royal Norwegian Embassy.

Its focused and intimate format offers participating companies greater visibility and direct access to potential customers, industrial partners and key decision-makers in the French defence ecosystem.

2 November (afternoon) - 6 November 2026

Led by Bpifrance, the French counterpart of Innovation Norway, and operated by EuroQuity, European Defence Week connects startups, investors, corporates, institutions, innovation agencies and military representatives from across Europe.

This second edition of the event will bring together more than 1,000 defence stakeholders, including government representatives, military leaders, industry executives, technology founders and investors. The primary focus will be on fostering direct connections between innovative dual-use technology companies and defence decision-makers, aimed at accelerating European capability development.
