Trade Mission
Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Embassy in Japan is organizing a Trade Mission and bringing Norwegian companies to meet with Japanese offshore wind players. The focus on maritime operations, offshore wind installation and training/simulator services.
The five day program will cover several regions in Japan to meet the key stakeholders in the Japanese offshore wind industry – including vessel owners and operators; engineering and general contractors; service providers and government representatives. The sites include Tokyo and the Kyushu region.

Japan and Norway have enjoyed industry ties for over a century. Their growing cooperation on renewable energy is relatively new, but promising.
Companies must adhere to standards for responsible business conduct, including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.
Participants are expected to operate in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct. This entails conducting business responsibly, respecting human rights, ensuring decent working conditions, safeguarding environmental considerations, and actively preventing corruption.
Companies must carry out their own due diligence assessments (risk assessments) to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential adverse impacts.
