It’s high time for action – and that’s been the case for too long.
COP30 in Brazil is dubbed the implementation COP, signaling a shift from negotiation to accelerating the delivery of national climate plans (NDCs). COP30 aims to put existing commitments into practice and turning plans into reality.
Team Norway is a committed long-term partner in this crucial work.
The Norwegian business delegation to COP30 will share Norwegian solutions, explore opportunities for investments, collaboration, and partnerships that could help accelerate the green energy transition and the path towards global carbon neutrality. Our mission is to actively participate in the global climate dialogue, sharing our expertise and fostering partnerships that will drive the green transition forward.
We aim to engage with global stakeholders, sharing Norwegian knowledge and innovative solutions that support the transition to a low-carbon economy. By promoting the cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices developed by Norwegian companies, we hope to demonstrate their potential to address climate challenges.
In addition to sharing our solutions, we are keen on exploring investment opportunities and collaborations that can accelerate the deployment of green technologies. Our goal is to foster economic growth while ensuring environmental sustainability. Strengthening partnerships with international organizations, governments, and businesses is a key priority for us, as we believe that a collaborative approach is essential to achieving global climate goals.
The Norwegian delegation comprises companies from diverse sectors, each contributing unique expertise and innovative solutions
By participating in COP30, the Norwegian business delegation aims to significantly contribute to the global effort to combat climate change. We are committed to promoting sustainable development and supporting the achievement of net-zero emissions. We believe we can create a sustainable future for all through collaboration and innovation.
The delegation is coordinated by Innovation Norway in close collaboration with relevant ministries and organisations.
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the supreme decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). All States that are members of the UNFCCC (currently 199) are represented at the COP, and a key task is to review progress made by members to limit climate change.

Despite record renewable growth in 2024, the energy transition is moving forward at a slower pace than expected. While matured renewable technologies such as wind, solar and batteries have seen substantial cost reductions, global unrest can increase the cost and decrease the pace of achieving the necessary emission reductions. In a more challenging geopolitical situation, renewable energy and increased electrification is also the key to increase energy security. How do the world’s leading renewable energy producers, trade associations and analysts see energy transition pathways in light of higher geopolitical uncertainty? Which strategies can be used by countries and companies to ensure that the energy transition continues at the pace necessary?
