By promoting the cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices developed by Norwegian companies, we hope to demonstrate their potential to address climate challenges.
In addition to sharing our solutions, we are keen on exploring investment opportunities and collaborations that can accelerate the deployment of green technologies. Our goal is to foster economic growth while ensuring environmental sustainability. Strengthening partnerships with international organizations, governments, and businesses is a key priority for us, as we believe that a collaborative approach is essential to achieving global climate goals.
The Norwegian delegation comprises companies from diverse sectors, each contributing unique expertise and innovative solutions
By participating in COP30, the Norwegian business delegation aims to significantly contribute to the global effort to combat climate change. We are committed to promoting sustainable development and supporting the achievement of net-zero emissions. We believe we can create a sustainable future for all through collaboration and innovation.
The delegation is coordinated by Innovation Norway in close collaboration with relevant ministries and organisations.
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the supreme decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Speeding up the Energy Transition
Norway Pavilion · 15:30 - 16:30
Norway Pavilion
15:30 - 16:30
Despite record renewable growth in 2024, the energy transition is moving forward at a slower pace than expected. While matured renewable technologies such as wind, solar and batteries have seen substantial cost reductions, global unrest can increase the cost and decrease the pace of achieving the necessary emission reductions. In a more challenging geopolitical situation, renewable energy and increased electrification is also the key to increase energy security. How do the world’s leading renewable energy producers, trade associations and analysts see energy transition pathways in light of higher geopolitical uncertainty? Which strategies can be used by countries and companies to ensure that the energy transition continues at the pace necessary?
