The KAOS KLAPP® Recycled High Chair combines recycled materials and timeless design in a practical everyday product for families. Developed by KAOS, the high chair satisfies the growing demand for durable and sustainable children’s furniture.
CHALLENGE
The juvenile products industry relies heavily on virgin plastic and short product life cycles, leading to more material use, waste and emissions. At the same time, consumers and regulators are demanding circular, more sustainable products, without sacrificing ihigfunctionality or design.
SOLUTION
The KAOS KLAPP® Recycled High Chair is made from 100 per cent post‑consumer recycled plastic, transforming waste into a durable, high‑quality product. Its ergonomic design, combined with smart add-ons, allows the chair to grow with the child, extending usability over many years and reducing the need for replacement.
The high chair is foldable and delivered fully assembled, making it convenient for travel, compact living and use in cafés and restaurants. Manufactured in the Netherlands from raw materials sourced in the Nordics, the chair is flat packed for efficient transport.

BENEFITS
Because it is made from 100 per cent post-consumer recycled plastic, the KLAPP® Recycled High chair reduces CO₂ emissions by 64 per cent compared with conventional fossil-fuel plastics.
Moreover, because the high chair is durable with capacity to grow with the child, it can be used for many years and multiple children. Meanwhile, flat pack shipping further reduces emissions along the value chain.
Combining circular materials with timeless design the KLAPP® Recycled High chair is a genuinely sustainable alternative to traditional juvenile furniture.

MARKET POTENTIAL
The global baby high chair market is valued at around USD 3.7 billion and is growing steadily, driven by demand for safe, design‑led and sustainable products.
KAOS targets design and sustainability-conscious families and professional buyers in Scandinavia, the UK, Europe and Asia, and has already commercialised the KLAPP® Recycled High chair internationally.
