Nordic Battery Days – Tokyo and Osaka

At Expo 2025 in Osaka, the Nordic countries will jointly showcase our region as a powerhouse of green innovation, offering sustainable materials sourcing, cutting-edge manufacturing processes, and circular economy solutions that address the full battery lifecycle.

The event kicks off on September 16th in Tokyo with a Nordic Battery Collaboration seminar targeting battery stakeholders, and a high-level networking event at the Meiji Kinenkan venue.

On September 17th, attendees will visit Battery Japan, an international trade fair displaying a wide range of technologies, components, materials, and devices for rechargeable battery development and manufacturing. The fair also covers renewable energy sectors such as hydrogen and fuel cells, solar power, smart grids, wind power, biomass, as part of the Smart Energy Week.

Battery Japan is an excellent platform to learn about the latest trends and developments in the battery industry and to network with other professionals in the field.

On September 18th, the Nordic Pavilion at Expo Osaka will host a key event: a Nordic-Japan Executive Roundtable focusing on battery technology partnerships and investment opportunities, followed by a networking reception at the pavilion. This is a chance to connect with potential Japanese partners, investors, and customers across the Japanese battery ecosystem.

The final program element will be a site visit to a Japanese battery manufacturer on September 19th.

• Visit to Battery Japan. B2B Meetings and target group visits

• Visit to Expo Osaka and the Nordic Pavilion
• Nordic Battery Day at EXPO Osaka, seminar, round table
• Evening: networking reception

19th September, Friday
Site visit to key Japanese battery manufacturer and/or key battery technology development environment.

The delegation ends in Osaka.

Registration fee and deadline

• Participation is by invitation only.
• Register and we will contact you to schedule a short call.

Participation fee NOK 10.000

Deadline, June 20^th.

• Participate in the Nordic Battery Days program with one company representative.
• Participation to exhibitor visits at Battery Japan on September 17th and entrance to the World Expo on September 18th.
• Transport from Battery Japan to Osaka.
• Meals / arrangements within Nordic Battery Day event activity on September 16th, 18th, and practical handling of site visit on the 19th.

Airfare, accommodation, transfer from Osaka to Tokyo, meals and any other arrangements outside of the main program.

The registration deadline is June 20th, Friday.
