India is a fast-growing maritime nation. Participate in the flagship event, India Maritime Week, and meet the who's who of the Indian maritime sector.

India Maritime Week will be taking place from 27th to 31st October 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai.
India has ambitious plans to become a global maritime leading nation by 2047.

Following are the focus areas:

  1. Port Modernization and Development: Modernizing existing ports to improve efficiency, capacity, and environmental standards. Developing new greenfield ports at strategic locations.
  2. Shipbuilding and Repair: Becoming a major player in shipbuilding, aiming to be among the top five shipbuilding nations by 2047. This includes developing shipbuilding and repair infrastructure and promoting indigenous shipbuilding.
  3. Inland Waterways Development: Expanding the network of navigable inland waterways to reduce road and rail congestion and promote sustainable transportation.
  4. Coastal Shipping: Encouraging coastal shipping to enhance connectivity and trade within India.
  5. Green Shipping: Promoting eco-friendly practices and incentives for low-emission ships.
  6. Maritime Skills and Training: Developing a skilled workforce for the maritime sector.

India participated with its first ever pavilion at Nor-Shipping 2025 in Norway this year. A high-level delegation, led by the Indian Minister of Ports Shipping and Waterways, was there during Nor-Shipping. This was to attract Norwegian and other global companies to come to India.

Team Norway will be putting up the Norwegian pavilion at the India Maritime Week and is inviting Norwegian maritime stakeholders to showcase their prowess in this sector.

Norwegian pavilion will be based on an open solution concept with better outward visibility. One wall will be there for multimedia display and poster, bar table and stools and a counter for each company. The lounge area size etc. will be there depending on the number of companies participating. Light snacks and soft beverages will be served to the exhibitors and guests. We estimate cost to be around 5000 to 6000NOK per sqm. This will depend on the number of companies participating. The fee includes, carpet, walls, furniture, lighting, stand cleaning, catering services and on-site assistance by local contractor.

Some of the company CEOs will also get chance to speak in various panel discussions during the event.

Team Norway will also be hosting a networking event for the participating Norwegian companies and the Indian maritime stakeholders.

A study tour will also be conducted post the event. This is not part of the above and will be charged separately for the interested companies.

Registration deadline: 29th August 2025.
