Trade Mission: Norwegian Offshore Suppliers Meet German TSOs Berlin

9 June 2026 - 10 June 2026

Location: Berlin, Germany

Trade Mission

Join our second annual Trade Mission: German TSOs. As agreed with all participants last year, we are ready to conduct the second edition of this delegation trip, which brings together decision-makers from Norwegian offshore companies and purchasing managers from the three German transmission system operators (TSOs) that currently, or in the future, operate offshore platforms.

Germany is building the largest HVDC pipeline in the world. Norwegian companies have been operating offshore for decades. This is where they meet.

Innovation Norway is facilitating a targeted Trade Mission bringing Norwegian offshore suppliers to Berlin for direct engagement with Germany's three transmission system operators:

  • TenneT,
  • Amprion, and
  • 50Hertz.

Who is coming from Norway

A selected group of Norwegian companies offering solutions relevant to offshore grid infrastructure — including operations & maintenance, HVDC technology, and smart systems for cost-efficient project delivery. These are companies with proven offshore track records, now ready to enter the German market.

Why this matters for German TSOs

Germany has 9 GW of installed offshore wind capacity in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, with a project pipeline of up to 50 GW HVDC by 2035. Managing that infrastructure — operating substations, maintaining export cables, keeping projects on schedule and on budget — requires deep offshore expertise. That expertise exists in Norway.

TenneT alone plans to invest €65 billion between 2025 and 2030 in expanding and maintaining its onshore and offshore grid. Amprion and 50Hertz face similar challenges. The upcoming wave of O&M contracts, HVDC station builds, and Tier 1 subcontracting opportunities makes now the right time to map the Norwegian supplier landscape.

Programme

  • 9 June: Networking dinner
  • 10 June, morning:
    • Pitch sessions: Norwegian companies present their solutions
    • Presentations by the TSOs: overview, procurement approach, potential specific demands
  • 10 June, afternoon: One-on-one B2B meetings

Confirmed participants from the German side

Uwe Lammert, Head of Supply Chain Management Germany at TenneT, along with team members, plus corresponding representatives from Amprion and 50Hertz.
