This session sets the tone for the days ahead and offers a key opportunity to network with the broader Team Norway community and connect with engaged Norwegian partners — both established and new.

This is a defining moment for floating offshore wind in Norway. Utsira Nord is set to become the country’s first commercial floating offshore wind project — a milestone not only for Norway’s energy security, but also for how floating wind can be industrialised, new technologies developed, and a competitive global value chain established.

As a project developer, Deep Wind Offshore has a strong foothold in Norway, with deep local roots, combined with an expanding international presence in markets such as South Korea. Together with EDF power solutions, as one of the two bidders currently competing for the Utsira Nord project, the company plays a central role in shaping the next phase of floating offshore wind in Norway.

In this session, Deep Wind Offshore will share insights into how they view the road ahead — outlining the next steps in the process and what Utsira Nord will mean for suppliers, subcontractors, and partners across the value chain.

Led by GCE Blue Maritime Cluster, this session explores the rapidly evolving landscape of remote and autonomous operations in offshore wind.

We will highlight innovative companies across the value chain, each contributing in unique ways to the development and deployment of remote operations. Topics include satellite communications, remote and autonomous vessels, Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) for autonomy, Remote Operations Centres (ROC), and ROV training and competence development.

The session offers insight into how advanced maritime technologies are enabling safer, smarter, and more efficient offshore operations.

TenneT and OneSubsea explore how subsea power distribution technologies that are developed and proven in the offshore oil & gas sector can support and advance as well as excel the performance of future offshore grid connections by scaling subsea technology components and modifying state of the art power electronics.
