The Healthcare Investment Access (HIA) Programme gives ambitious Nordic ventures the expertise, perspective and visibility required to step confidently onto the international stage and meet investors where decisions are made.

About the Healthcare Investment Access Programme

The Healthcare Investment Access (HIA) Programme is a structured, high-impact initiative designed to strengthen the global investment readiness of Nordic healthcare companies. The programme supports companies aiming to expand beyond the region, with a particular emphasis on understanding and accessing the U.S. capital markets.

HIA offers a comprehensive pathway for Nordic ventures preparing for international investor engagement, combining expert evaluation, strategic mentoring and direct exposure to stakeholders across Europe and the United States.

This information hub provides an overview of the programme journey, core components and the selected companies participating in the 2025–2026 cohort.

Programme Overview

Initial 360° Review & Mentoring

Each company undergoes an in-depth assessment across clinical, commercial, regulatory and financing dimensions.
This diagnostic review is followed by tailored mentoring focused on:

  • Refining company narrative and value proposition
  • Strengthening investor documentation
  • Identifying strategic priorities and milestones
  • Preparing for U.S. and European investor expectations

Investor Readiness & Pitch Development

Participants take part in targeted workshops designed to sharpen messaging for cross-regional audiences. Sessions cover:

  • Pitch structuring and communication
  • Competitive landscape framing
  • Data presentation for investor scrutiny
  • Market-entry strategy alignment

Visibility & International Exposure

HIA integrates curated opportunities across major investment touchpoints:

  • DNB Carnegie Nordic Healthcare Conference (Oslo) — programme launch and pitch event
  • European Healthcare Investor Forum (Zurich) — investor sessions and networking
  • Nordic-American Healthcare Conference (New York) — U.S. capital market exposure and stakeholder meetings

Important conditions

Companies must adhere to standards for responsible business conduct, including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.

Participants are expected to operate in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct. This entails conducting business responsibly, respecting human rights, ensuring decent working conditions, safeguarding environmental considerations, and actively preventing corruption.

Companies must carry out their own due diligence assessments (risk assessments) to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential adverse impacts.
