Woodling is a Norwegian fashion brand inspired by nature, tradition and craftsmanship and is located on the rugged plains of Jæren, on Norway’s west coast.
Each garment is made from carefully selected natural fibres, including wool, alpaca, mohair, silk and cotton.
Woodling is setting a new standard for modern Norwegian fashion production. Now it has been awarded the Made in Norway label.
“The origin label gives us a strong platform to communicate what we stand for – responsible production, transparency and pride in creating garments here in Norway.”
Siv Elise Seland
CEO of Woodling
Woodling is a Norwegian fashion brand that designs and produces garments with a clear Nordic identity and aesthetic. The family-run company, led by designer Siv Elise Seland, has established a modern production facility in a restored barn on the family farm − combining natural materials with cutting-edge technology.
Inspired by Norwegian nature and tradition, Woodling creates timeless pieces designed to last through the seasons. Each garment is made from pure, high-quality natural fibres such as wool, alpaca, mohair, silk and cotton.
“At Woodling, we focus on local production using advanced 3D knitting technology. Here in Jæren, we create timeless garments that combine simplicity, comfort and quality,” says Siv Elise Seland.
Woodling joined the Made in Norway programme to document and highlight its Norwegian origin − both to customers and to inspire more local production within the textile industry.
“We aim to be a clear voice for the future of Norwegian textile production. The origin label gives us credibility and reinforces our commitment to offering products with genuine Norwegian heritage,” says Seland.

Woodling is sold in selected high-end fashion boutiques in Norway, with ambitions to expand internationally − particularly into markets that value quality, sustainability and local craftsmanship, such as Scandinavia, Japan, Germany and the USs.
“The Made in Norway label will strengthen our position in these markets and respond to the growing demand for transparent and ethical production. It provides us with a distinct competitive advantage,” says Seland.

Woodling will feature the Made in Norway label across hangtags, labels, packaging, website and social media − making it a visible part of the brand’s story and identity.
“The label will be integrated into everything we do − it symbolises our mission to bring textile production back home to Norway. Over time, it will help to increase the perceived value of each garment, strengthen our brand position and enhance export opportunities,” concludes Seland.
