Established in 2022, Spectrum Blue has developed the Q-Field™ disinfectant paint technology to protect people, the environment and property and for which it has been awarded the Made in Norway label.
The paint is specially developed to disinfect surfaces and eliminates viruses, bacteria and mould 24/7, 365 days a year. Once applied, the product provides years of protection and is harmless to human health and the environment.
Spectrum Blue sought out the Made in Norway label to highlight the Norwegian origin of its product and technology, while demonstrating its commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation – fundamental principles when working with domestic and international customers in sectors where hygiene and safety are critical.
Spectrum Blue wants to challenge established players in the industry with new products and concepts and views the Made in Norway label an important tool for positioning itself. The label also allows the company to show that it meets the high standards required to supply products to sensitive industries in domestic and international markets.
“Being able to use the Made in Norway label is proof of our commitment to delivering products that are both environmentally friendly and effective and which meet high standards for health and safety. Nationally, it gives us the opportunity to build closer ties with other Norwegian players to jointly promote Norwegian production globally,” says Markus Karlsen, COO at Spectrum Blue.
Today, Spectrum Blue’s productis used in space habitats, hospitals, care homes, schools, commercial properties and other particularly vulnerable industries, institutions and settings.
Spectrum Blue has an ambition to challenge the market at the intersection of the health and property sectors, where safety is paramount. The company is pleased to see growing awareness of the importance of infection control, indoor climate and environmental considerations as well as growing demand for products that reduce viruses, bacteria and mould.
“Demand for safe, reliable solutions is rising globally. The Made in Norway label lets us show that our product meets Norwegian standards for health, environment, safety and innovation – giving customers extra confidence,” Karlsen continues.
The company will actively display the Made in Norway label across a range of platforms, both physical and digital. In addition to using the label on its packaging and physical products, the company says that the label will be an important component in sales and tender processes, strengthening the link to genuine Norwegian production, values and quality standards.
“Anyone can use the Norwegian flag in marketing, but the Made in Norway label creates trust – especially in critical markets – because it proves our product meets Norwegian standards,” Karlsen points out.
