Jewel uses Norwegian expertise to rethink personal and tactile values

Published 1 June 2026 (updated 2 June 2026) · 3 min read

Music formats may evolve, but the emotional value of physical albums endures. Jewel is built on this belief, creating design-led solutions that give LPs and CDs a new place in modern interiors.

Rooted in Norwegian craftsmanship and manufactured entirely in Norway, the company combines international design language with strict quality standards.

Jewel products have now been awarded the Made in Norway label – a registered trademark designating products and solutions that are authentically Norwegian.

We see Made in Norway as a stamp of quality that reflects how we have built our brand and our company.

Jewelmade, or Jewel, was established in 2025, with its first official website launch and point of sale opening on 22 May the same year. The company designs and manufactures high-design storage and display solutions for physical music formats, offering five different products for CD storage and display, and seven for LP records.

From the outset, the company has focused on developing premium products and ensuring that production, sales and development take place in Norway. With the exception of PMMA acrylic from Turkey, natural rubber from France and Norway, and screws from Germany, all production materials are 100 per cent Norwegian. The company also strives to use local expertise and continuously explores ways to further optimise development in Norway.

At Jewel we believe that owning music is an act of identity. Designed and handcrafted in Norway, all of our products have now been awarded the Made in Norway label.

Growing international interest in physical music formats

Jewel operates in a niche market, but one with significant international potential. Interest in physical music formats such as CDs and LPs is growing year by year, despite earlier assumptions that these media would disappear.

Manufacturing in Norway means higher production costs than mass manufacturing elsewhere. Here, the Made in Norway label can become a strategic asset, helping to communicate quality, origin and the strict standards behind each product. The company’s ambition is to expand across Europe, eventually entering markets in Asia and the US.

“Because our products are produced in Norway and meet strict quality requirements, production costs are higher. This is where the Made in Norway label can help us,” says Brandl.

Made in Norway is a stamp of quality

Jewel sees Made in Norway as a stamp of quality that reflects how the brand and business have been built. The label supports the company’s positioning towards design-conscious customers, while also signalling high standards and credibility to a broader audience. All Jewel products are patented and registered under the Made in Norway label.

Even for those who don’t necessarily know what the label stands for, we believe it will be perceived as a sign of quality. We also see Made in Norway certification as an advantage when attracting investors.

Making Norwegian origin visible across every touchpoint

Jewel plans to use the Made in Norway label across packaging, on the products themselves, and across all digital and physical touchpoints. The label will also be featured in marketing materials, exhibitions and international fairs, including use on stands, posters, social media and advertising.
