Founded in 1985 in Drangedal, Flom Kjetting has grown into one of Norway’s leading suppliers of wheel chains, load securing solutions and lifting equipment.
Over the years, the company has become widely recognised for its iconic Blåmann chain series, trusted by transport, construction and agriculture professionals across the country.
Now, Flom Kjetting has been awarded the Made in Norway label − a prestigious mark that symbolises trust, quality and genuine Norwegian production.
“Being able to document our Norwegian production gives us a significant competitive edge and reinforces the value of quality in our industry.”

With more than 40 years of experience, Flom Kjetting remains one of Norway’s largest suppliers of wheel chains, delivering solutions for all types of wheeled machinery. Its team of 11 dedicated employees ensures that every product meets the highest standards for performance, durability and safety.
In the transport industry, Blåmann chains have become a synonymous with reliability. The company's product range now extends beyond truck chains to include construction, agricultural and tractor chains.
“We’re proud to offer locally produced products, manufactured using renewable Norwegian energy. Reducing long-distance transportation not only cuts emissions but also helps protect the environment,” says Ingunn Leine Flom.

In today’s fast-changing, competitive marketplace, authentic Norwegian production is a powerful differentiator. Flom Kjetting has chosen to join the Made in Norway initiative to highlight its heritage, quality and local craftsmanship.
The company has observed growing market confusion, with some suppliers promoting products under the Norwegian flag without manufacturing in Norway. The certification provides clarity and confidence − a trusted symbol that sets Flom Kjetting apart.
“Being able to document our Norwegian production gives us a significant competitive edge and reinforces the value of quality in our industry,” says Flom.

Flom Kjetting’s primary market is Norway, and the company believes that the Made in Norway label will encourage consumers to choose locally produced chains over imported alternatives.
“We supply chains for agriculture, where customers already value Norwegian food and local sourcing. We believe the same mindset should apply to the equipment they depend on,” says Flom.

Flom Kjetting plans to make the Made in Norway label highly visible across all marketing and sales channels. It will be featured prominently on the company’s website, online store, catalogues, instore materials, and social media campaigns, particularly linked to the Blåmann product series.
Internally, the company will integrate the certification into email signatures, presentations, product packaging and even workwear, ensuring a consistent and recognisable brand identity.
