Published 19 Nov 2025 · 2 min read

Blueday Technology is a leading Norwegian provider of sustainable energy solutions for both maritime and land-based industries.

With a strong commitment to driving the green transition, the company delivers cutting-edge systems for shore power, charging infrastructure, and power generation.

Its proven expertise helps clients to reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency, positioning Blueday Technology as a trusted partner in the global shift towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.

There is no single solution to the climate challenge. The answer lies in the sum of many coordinated actions that together reduce emissions and help limit global warming to well below two degrees.

Founded in 2013 in Stavanger, Norway, Blueday Technology was initially established to help oil and gas companies to reduce energy consumption through advanced energy optimisation and power system technology.

In 2017, the company shifted its focus towards climate change as a transformative global challenge. Since then, Blueday has developed new products and solutions aimed at accelerating electrification, lowering fuel consumption, reducing emissions, and improving overall efficiency.

“With over a decade of technology development and an established presence across Scandinavia and Europe, we address the complex demands of energy, digitalisation, and power generation – all while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles,” says Gunnar Hviding.

Motivation for using the Made in Norway label

Blueday Technology has been awarded the official Made in Norway label for two of its products: the BluEco Shore Power System and the BluEco Charging System. The label reinforces the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability – values that define Norwegian engineering at its best.

“It is important for us to highlight that our solutions are developed in Norway, with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation. The Made in Norway label supports these values and adds credibility when engaging with both domestic and international customers,” says Hviding.

The market for Blueday Technology's solutions

Blueday Technology operates in a global market where the demand for environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solutions is rapidly increasing.

“The Made in Norway label enables us to clearly communicate our Norwegian origin – something that is widely associated with quality and trust. It provides us with a competitive edge, especially in global segments where sustainability and innovation are key decision factors,” says Hviding.

Incorporating the label

Blueday Technology is committed to actively using the Made in Norway mark across all marketing channels – including digital platforms, presentations, sales materials, and on physical products wherever relevant.

“The label will become an integral part of our brand identity – a visible mark that proves our solutions are developed and manufactured in Norway. It builds trust, adds value, and strengthens our market position in an increasingly competitive landscape,” concludes Hviding.
