Prediktor PView™ is a technical asset management solution for renewable power plants that enhances efficiency and boosts production by providing high-level information for making data-driven decisions.
Many solar producers experience data overload and rely on humans to interpret the data, potentially leading to inferior information and poor decision-making. Moreover, solar production sites are often located in rural locations with little or no local personnel and limited communication infrastructure, which may negatively affect data quality.
As a result, solar assets may underperform by 5 per cent or more, negatively affecting a solar power producer’s financial performance and competitiveness in the energy market.
Prediktor PView™ is a technical asset management system that collects a large amount of data from renewable assets and converts it into high-level actionable information. Plant owners, asset managers and others can then use this information to make data-driven decisions to enhance operational efficiency, helping to close the performance gap.
The PView™ system provides a comprehensive range of functions. It monitors and supervises operations, and generates reports on operations, budgets and regulatory compliance. The analysis function helps managers to fully understand the operations and achieve optimal configuration, while the control feature can reduce costs related to local personnel and compliance with control regulations.
The solution integrates information from all operational systems across all industry standard protocols, including inverters, turbines, power plant controllers (PPCs), trackers, substations and meteorological instruments. The data is structured into standard information models that provide uniform access to all data from a portfolio of assets.
The open and scalable PView™ solution allows all technical asset management activities to be handled in one centralised location. Due to its highly scalable architecture, the system is suitable for most plant and portfolio configurations.
When solar power producers base their operational decisions on high-level information, they are better positioned to increase profits and compete against more traditional, non-renewable energy companies.
Solar PV generation increased by 22 per cent in 2019, and is expected to reach an average annual growth rate of 15 per cent from 2019 to 2030. New and existing solar plants will have a need for an advanced technical asset management system such as PView™ to compete effectively in this growing market.
PView™ is already in global operation. Prediktor’s main target market is companies with headquarters in Europe. Additional markets of interest are the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
Prediktor has 25 years of experience in developing industrial IoT solutions. The company has traditionally focused on solar PV and has now expanded into solutions for hybrid renewable portfolios.
