Seminar on Solar Energy Transitions in India

Updated at 20 March 2024

Gain insights into the latest research and findings on solar energy transitions in India at a special seminar at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi.

Accelerate the shift to solar

Discover the important results emerging from the 'Accountable Solar Energy Transitions project: Norwegian Research on Rajasthan’ and learn how they can be applied to successfully accelerate the shift to solar.

If you’re an academic, a government official, or a company operating within the solar industry, based in India or Norway, have a special interest in Rajasthan, this is a chance to engage in more detail with the project research team, as well as governance and sectoral experts. There will be presentations, networking opportunities, a roundtable discussion and a Q&A.

The Accountable Solar Energy Transitions project (2021-2024), funded by the Research Council of Norway, has produced a wide range of outputs and insights on the governance of solar energy in Rajasthan, India and Portugal. It covers solar development at multiple scales from rooftop plants to large utility-scale projects.

Seminar programme

The seminar will include presentations, networking opportunities, a roundtable discussion and a Q&A. Our panel of distinguished speakers bring together cutting-edge solar expertise and direct interest in the management of solar energy transitions in India.

With their competencies in the political economy of electricity, rooftop solar energy economics, the public discourse on solar energy, ecological impacts of utility-scale solar plants and regulatory implications, our panel is very well placed to discuss the potential applications and impacts emanating from the results of the Accountable Solar Energy Transitions project.
