Come meet us at COP 29! The Norwegian business delegation to COP29 is dedicated to showcasing Norway's innovative and sustainable solutions.
Our mission is to actively participate in the global climate dialogue, sharing our expertise and fostering partnerships that will drive the green transition forward.
We aim to engage with global stakeholders, sharing Norwegian knowledge and innovative solutions that support the transition to a low-carbon economy. By promoting the cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices developed by Norwegian companies, we hope to demonstrate their potential to address climate challenges.
In addition to sharing our solutions, we are keen on exploring investment opportunities and collaborations that can accelerate the deployment of green technologies. Our goal is to foster economic growth while ensuring environmental sustainability. Strengthening partnerships with international organizations, governments, and businesses is a key priority for us, as we believe that a collaborative approach is essential to achieving global climate goals.

By participating in COP29, the Norwegian business delegation aims to significantly contribute to the global effort to combat climate change. The delegation is coordinated by Innovation Norway in close collaboration with relevant ministries and organizations.
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the supreme decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). All States that are members of the UNFCCC (currently 199) are represented at the COP, and a key task is to review progress made by members to limit climate change.

Companies must adhere to standards for responsible business conduct, including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.
Participants are expected to operate in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct. This entails conducting business responsibly, respecting human rights, ensuring decent working conditions, safeguarding environmental considerations, and actively preventing corruption.
Companies must carry out their own due diligence assessments (risk assessments) to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential adverse impacts.
