Innovation Norway is pleased to invite you to the kick-off for the national export initiative on manufacturing and design on 19 June, at 15:00. The event will be streamed live in Norwegian, and you will receive a link upon registration.
The initiative is part of the export reform Hele Norge eksporterer, which aims to increase Norwegian exports (excluding oil and gas) by 50 per cent by 2030.
Under the manufacturing and design initiative, the government, business and industry, and the business support system will collaborate to achieve this goal and promote a thriving export culture.
Measures include strengthening Team Norway in key geographical markets, building a strong network of experts in the Norwegian manufacturing and design industry, launching joint export activities targeting key markets in close collaboration with the business sector, and developing export programmes to build industry insight and ease market access with targeted export activities. Strategic positioning of the industry and exploring use of the new origin label ‘Made in Norway’ are also important elements of the initiative.
What does it take to succeed internationally?
During the kick-off, we will challenge Norwegian companies and stakeholders to define what Norway excels at, what it takes to succeed internationally, and what the business sector itself must contribute to drive the initiative forward. Following the introduction, there will be a panel discussion with key players in the manufacturing and design industry.
The event is being held in collaboration with the National Export Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, Export Finance Norway, industrial clusters and other business organisations.
