Exhibition
During the Joint Nordic Life Science & Health Program at EXPO’25, the Nordic countries will showcase the Nordic approach to addressing some of the most severe global healthcare challenges including non-communicable diseases, aging populations, and digital inequality in healthcare.
The idea of equal opportunities for all is pervasive in the Nordic countries. It is achieved through a welfare state with an elaborate social safety net where a cornerstone is a world-class universal healthcare system. In this way, the Nordic countries have a lot in common with Japan, which has had universal health coverage since 1961.
The achievement of a world-class healthcare system is to a large degree achieved through innovation and research in a public-private collaboration. Today, the Nordic countries have major business strongholds in the health industry. The strongest and most developed industries are found in the areas of pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical technology.
Increased awareness and recognition of Nordic countries' brands and innovations in the Japanese market.
Creation of new business opportunities and partnerships for Nordic industry partners and stakeholders in the Japanese and broader Asian markets.
Showcase of Innovations by demonstrating the Nordic approach to healthcare, emphasizing solutions for non-communicable diseases, greying populations, antimicrobial resistance, sustainable healthcare, and advanced digital health technologies.
Higher engagement and interest from Japanese visitors in the Nordic Pavilion, leading to potential public and commercial collaborations and partnerships.
